We are looking for a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright, JavaScript, and TypeScript to design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of modern testing practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies, with a focus on delivering high-quality software in a fast-paced environment.

• High degree of proficiency in using Playwright/JavaScript/TypeScript for UI, API and database testing (incorporating mocking, etc.)
• Excellent understanding of good OOP practices (SOLID, DRY, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to produce high quality, scalable, maintainable code of moderate to high complexity within a sprint (addressing test parallelization, flaky-test triage, etc.)
• High degree of familiarity with Azure pipelines, Git, CI/CD workflows
• High degree of familiarity with Scrum practices/ceremonies/tools (DevOps, Jira, Trello, etc.)
• Demonstrated success in performance testing (Artillery, JMeter, K6, Locust, etc.) is preferred
• Demonstrated success in implementing/working with containers (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) is preferred
• Demonstrated success in working with risk-based, automation-first development environment is preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript for UI, API, and database testing.
• Implement advanced testing strategies including mocking, parallel execution, and flaky test handling.
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable automation code following OOP principles (SOLID, DRY).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to ensure quality across all stages of development.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps.
• Perform root cause analysis and debugging for defects and test failures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of test processes, frameworks, and best practices.
• Participate actively in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
